Welcome to Kings of Armenia

Haig (2550 b.c.)

The symbolic founder and Patriarch of the

Armenian race in the third millennium b.c.

It has been said that Haig was the leader of

the tribe of Armens, one of the largest and

most powerful of the tribes in the highlands

of what was later known as Armenian

Mesopotamia. The words "Hye" and

"Haigagon", referring to Armenian ancestry

are derivatives of the name Haig.
